Praise for Dana’s Top Ten Table:

“Dana McCauley has put her finger on the dinner plate pulse of Canada. She wants to make it easier for you to put delicious dinners on the table, even on the busiest nights of the week. In short, she wants to simplify your life. Her solution as a working mom and trendmeister? To pinpoint the most popular types of dishes and, using ingredients you can find in your local store and familiar cooking techniques, to recreate them in a rainbow of flavor variations. This is a collection of recipes you and your family will enjoy over and over again.”
~ Elizabeth Baird, Executive Food Editor, Canadian Living

“What a brilliant idea. Take the ten most popular dinners Canadian cook every night - from chicken to pasta, burgers and fish - and give twenty fresh new ideas for each. No matter what our style, you’ll find something you have the ingredients for and can make without jumping through hoops.. Isn’t this what we all want at the end of a hard day?”
~Monda Rosenberg, Food and Nutrition Editor, Chatelaine.

‘Dana's updated twists will add pizzazz to your family favourites.’
~ Bonnie Stern, The National Post
“This concept is genius!”
~Elizabeth Driver, Sounds Like Canada (CBC Radio One)

‘The book has lots of tips, tells you about storage, making ahead, freezing - all excellent for a family cook. McCauley is nothing if not practical about family living; even cleanup is kept to the minimum.’
~ Lucy Waverman, The Globe and Mail

“As a wife, mother and busy cookbook author, Dana McCauley well understands the challenges involved in getting something hot on the table night after night. It’s rare to discover quick, easy recipes that will please everyone; meal repertoires end up getting bland and predictable, and the takeout menus come out of the junk drawer.  With Dana’s Top Ten Table (HarperCollins), the Toronto foodie takes on the kitchen doldrums. She updates a range of classic, family-friendly recipes - from pasta to chicken and fish ... With McCauley’s help, you can finally dispose of all those pizza flyers.”
~Tara Henley, Hello! Canada Magazine, October 15, 2007

“Dana has been a guest on Daytime. She's a fabulous guest, chef, cookbook author and person. We look forward to seeing her more often on the show. Her cookbooks are a must buy. “
~Derick Fage, Co-host of Daytime Ottawa

“The recipes from burgers, casseroles and one dish meals to pasta, pizza and pork and more, allow you to dress up comfort foods, add zip to standards and serve up savoury sensations without culinary complexities.”
~Chris Traber, The Richmond HIll Liberal, October 7, 2007

I have to tell you that I just love your book. The recipes are great and the anecdotes make it seem like you’re right there guiding the reader along.  I tried the deep dish pizza recipe and it was a hit – no need to go back to Chicago for this dish.

I figured I'd start at the beginning of your book and work my way through :-) Your recipes are fantastic! They are definitely the inspiration I need when I'm staring at another package of plain old chicken breasts.

I made your Pesto this weekend. I have never made Pesto before and was so worried that it wouldn't taste right but  it was amazing. We used it on pasta and fish. Thank You!

We christened your book tonight with beef stroganoff. Mmmmm! Even fussy Miss Monica was pleased. Can't wait to try more.

My plans to make [Diner Style Pork Chops with Apples and Pan Gravy]  on the weekend didn't pan out, but I managed to get it together today in time to put this dish together. It was delicious!! I loved the addition of cinnamon to the flour as well as the addition of vinegar to the gravy. Both added lots of great flavour. I'll be making this one again.
